WHAT MAKES OUR PROCESS DIFFERENT?
Proven ATS Optimization Methodology
Due to the prevalence of job posts on the internet and applicants' ability to apply for jobs across a broader region, hiring managers may be inundated with hundreds or thousands of resumes. To manage this level of interest, hiring managers utilize an "applicant tracking system" (ATS) check which serves as an automated gatekeeper to quickly determine who is qualified and who is not based on keywords within an applicant's resume. Only after the pile of candidates has been cut down will a person review. Many qualified candidates get rejected in this automated phase because they are not familiar with this process. At Notable, as we draft your resume we perform ongoing ATS checks to confirm it is ATS-optimized while maintaining. This optimization is not achieved by simply adding keywords to increase the ATS score. It is not this simple. This optimization must be done in a nuanced and subtle way that does not otherwise detract from the quality and effectiveness of your resume and we understand how to perform this optimization effectively.

Proven Resume Design
The design of the resume is critical and forms the backbone of your candidacy. It should look clean, professional, welcoming and should capture and direct the readers eyes to the areas you want to showcase quickly. In addition to appearance, it is important that applicants understand why a more basic format should be used. Could we incorporate columns, pictures, text boxes, symbols and various other functions a word processor offers? Yes, we could but it likely won't work well with the ATS software or with an online job application portal that requires you to copy and paste your resume into basic text space. Some resume service companies have overly designed templates that look great but aren't effective at all which results in less interviews. Creative, Effective and Efficient Language
Many resume writers offer ATS-optimized resumes at a low price because it is easy to just throw in some keywords that will increase the score. It is important to get a foot in the door, but your resume needs to be optimized for human readership as well. This is crucial. What is the benefit of getting the hiring manager to review your resume if it will be rejected for being poorly written? While ATS-optimization is necessary it is far from sufficient. An effective resume still must have all the traditional qualities, including effective resume design, section structure, and most of all creative, effective and efficient writing. This type of writing takes a certain skill. At Notable, our resume consultants are highly educated and have deep experience crafting effective resumes for nearly all industries. Beyond ATS-optimization, we put in lots of time to think about the specific language used to highlight your work experience and qualifications.
Extreme Attention to Detail
Worst case scenario is that you get through the ATS process and have an effective, well-written resume that is impressing the hiring manager, but they come across a typo or a grammatical error. This could kill your chances. Typically, the hiring manager isn't judging you for being a person that might make occasional typos, it happens, even to them. What will look bad is that you have a typo in your resume. A resume is typically one page (maybe two pages) long and should be perfect.
